Spring breakfast raises over $30,000
“With Courage360’s help, in less than a year: I went from a homeless woman who couldn’t think straight; to a job at a wonderful company; to a promotion with a solid wage that affords me my own place, my own car, clothing and even vanilla ice cream. I am who I am today because of Courage360.”
Violet, Courage360 graduate
The return of our Annual Spring Breakfast in King County was a smash hit! Nearly 100 guests joined together on March 7th for an early celebration of International Women’s Day and a firsthand look at how Courage360 helps women in our community. Guests heard from a panel of three Courage360 graduates, Candis, Leutu, and Lulu, who shared the highs and lows they have experienced on their road to professional success. Graduate Violet also shared her personal story of how Courage360 helped her transform from a woman who had lost her direction to the second in command at a top Seattle engineering firm. Hosting the event was Meeghan Black, Emmy award-winning broadcast journalist and communication specialist.
In total, guests almost reached our goal of $35,000 to invest in lives just like Candis, Leutu, Lulu, and Violet. Thank you so much to all of our guests, sponsors, volunteers, board members, and graduates who made this breakfast a success!
If you were unable to attend the event, you can still help us reach our goal of raising $35,000. Visit our donate page today to make your investment in Courage360’s work to build a healthy community in which all people have financial independence.
